Here is what Lakeland means to me!
For 60 years I have looked across the street and there stands Lakeland/Littleton High School. A solid dependable structure of history that I can count on being there day after day. Lakeland started out with nothing but hope, a dream and a few actors that turned into friends and family. It remains that to me today as old friends and family go away and new friends and family appear. For me Lakeland is a playground for the mind. Sometimes to get away from the real world and be floating on a pirate ship or riding a horse in Oklahoma. Meeting old and sometimes new friends, helping a child learn to play on a stage, or giving folks a hearty belly laugh. It’s giving to others and the community. Giving back what we have been given by others ahead of us.
